Day 4 - And a sort-of starting weight
We'll never know my real starting weight
I picked up my scale yesterday, and this morning had my first weigh-in and got my % body fat (%BF). The weight is 236.4, Body fat percentage came in at 31.5. I think it is possible I have already lost more than 7 pounds. Mostly water weight, for certain, but my most recent weighing, at my doctor's in mid-December - was 242.5, and I I am pretty sure I put on weight since then. But we will never know, will we? I'm a little pissed that it took this long to get a starting weight and I think I will probably use 242.5 as my official start weight. The 30.1% body fat is also a little lower than I expected, but I don't have a number to compare with. Syracuse is lacking the facilities to do an accurate assessment of %BF. On to today's meals:
Breakfast
Like yesterday: 2 large organic eggs, scrambled, with sauteed baby spinach and lentils. A little salsa on top, and I'm good to go. |
Lunch
Dinner
I drank 3 L of water, had 28 oz of black coffee (Dunkin'!!) and had a bit of a runny nose all day. Felt fine, anyway. It's 9:30 now, and I'm going out to play.

It seems to me that you are eating very little. I would guess 12000-15000 cal's which is probably very low for you. What do you think?
I agree with you (although I'm pretty certain you multiplied your calculations by 10) that I am eating a reduced number of calories - but I'm not sure how many. Certainly more than 1200.
I think the amount of added oil I am eating contributes 800-900 calories (I have at least 3T between my sauteing and salad dressing). Yesterday, I had 2 eggs, which is about 150C; 1/2 pound lean, cooked ground beef, another 300C; and 2 salmon burgers, about 320C. That's more than 1500 calories without including the veggies and beans. This IS definitely less, probably much less, than what I was eating before I decided to follow this diet, but wait until Saturday. I intend to go CRAZY and eat over 4000 calories this Saturday.
