Day 5

Remember how I mentioned  in yesterday's blog that I had a runny nose? Today, I woke up congested and with a serious headache - and I never get headaches. Feeling generally cold-ish, I called in sick at work. Took my first-thing-in-the-morning-on-an-empty-stomach thyroid medication - with just a little water - and went back to sleep. Four hours later, I'm up to use the bathroom, and feeling a little better. Just for shits and grins, I decided to weigh myself: 232.6. 2-1/2 pounds less than 28 hours ago. Now I think I may have actually underestimated my starting weight.

Now, on to the food:


Breakfast
This is a 3-egg 'frittata with sauteed onions, peppers, spinach and black beans, topped with salsa


Lunch
Mesclin greens, dressed with a 'sauce' made from a can of tuna, an equal volume of black beans, and homemade mayonnaise.


Dinner
I had a ticket for a play that included dinner. This was the first time I did not preparie food for myself while working 'the plan'. It was not good. There was no menu, no substitutions available. They served everybody the same food, take it or leave it. I had forgotten to take my AGG supplement beforehand. Luckily, the play was better. 
A small portion of overcooked mixed vegetables and baked frozen 'chicken Kiev' with the breading scraped off. Pictured but uneaten: 1 baked potato with sour cream. Not pictured: Coffee, a small salad of iceberg lettuce, tomato, onions and black olive pieces. Not pictured and not eaten: Rainbow sherbet.


Late Snack
 I left the theater at intermission for a night of great music, and didn't get home until 2am. Hungry, I combined the remaining mesclin salad with baby spinach, and a dollop of homemade mayonnaise and ate that before turning in:
