Day 25, Post 173

Do not focus on weight. Do not focus on weight.  Do not focus on weight... 

It is going to be difficult not to think about weight today. All 5 days this week, I have been over 200 pounds. This is the 5th day I have weighed over 200 pounds, which is 2 pounds heavier than my low almost 2 weeks earlier. 


I am concerned, because there is a clear upward trend beginning 12 days ago, the last day of the induction phase. 


It appears that the guidelines of NHE are somehow not supporting weight loss. If, as I suspect will happen, my weight is reflected in my measurements (more important to me than weight) and they show an increase - which would be the first ever this year - then I might rethink my strategy. Weight fluctuations are the opposite of unusual, but I will not tolerate a setback in my measurements.


After yesterday's discussion about health, mine has taken a very bad turn. My bowel elimantion difficulties are back, and I am in considerable pain from that. A call to the doctor is in order tomorrow - we'll see. Tomorrow will be a fast - nothing but water, until I feel some relief from the pressure I feel in my gut.


Food Log
Breakfast
Breakfast smoothie: 4 oz almond milk, 1/2C yogurt, 1/2C blueberries, 2+ C Kale, 2 eggs, 3T chia seeds, 1/2t stevia/erythritol blend.
    Carb count: 14 g. Net


Lunch
Organic uncured ham with homemade cole slaw and Spinach and Field Mix greens.
     Carb count: 1 g. Net

Dinner 
Steak and mashed cauliflower.
    Carb Count:  1 g. Net




Day total carbs:  
    ~20 g. Net carbs. 
Net carbs = total carbs - fiber 
The approximation "~" includes an amount added for calculation error and unknown (therefore, uncounted) carbs.


Liquid Intake
    Coffee:  24 oz,   Water: 140+ oz.
