What is the source of energy?

Ultimately, the true source of all energy is impossible to determine, at least in the Newtonian/Einsteinian Universe, but we can go back to theories and philosophy that tell us it's all motion, and even our extended senses (microscopes, telescopes, radio wave, infra-red, mass spectrometry technology) can't get back to the true beginning.

A couple of ideas about this:
The "knowable" things are limited. We've already discussed why. We can extended those limitations with theory, but some of that theory is un-testable. The existence of dimensions beyond those we perceive, for example. It explains a lot, but that doesn't make it 'true.'

What we can be pretty sure of, at least in this consensual reality, is that absolutely everything is in motion. My brother Andy explained the implications of this very well:

"I  think that our reality is a continuum of vibrating energy on which the quality of materiality approaches one pole and the quality of immateriality approaching the other pole. More mass means slower vibrations means greater materiality means less potential for change which means a stronger illusion of permanence."

The key phrase there, at least for the purposes of this discussion is "vibrating energy." It is this energy that makes up absolutely everything: What we perceive, and what is beyond our ability to perceive in this reality.

This is the ultimate energy source we can get to; these vibrations the substance of all of the Universe; they fuel our lives, even as we transform matter to and from energy in the act of living.

We tap into the energy consciously and sub- and unconsciously. The energy of the Universe permeates us all the time, we are a conscious, self-aware form of it. It is the stuff of String Theory and quantum mechanics, as well as Einsteinian physics.

We get tired when we have used up our capacity to tap into this life-force - it doesn't get used up, but if you think of us as batteries, we do hold the charge, dissipate it, and need recharging. But it's really more a matter of reconnecting with the energy source, which we do in periods of unconsciousness, or, sometimes, un-self-consciousness.

Diet Comment:
Again, a little progress made yesterday, but today... I will toe the line up to a point, but there's no way around it: I'm cheating today.

I was good until the ice cream social. After that, all bets were off. I tried not to do too much damage at the Dinosaur, but, come on, it's the world famous Dinosaur-fucking-BBQ! There are limits to how good I'm going to be. A report on the damage follows.

At least tomorrow's a fast day, and I will be very good. Tomorrow.

Ken, WOW -you sure do cover a lot of ground, there. I'm going to try and walk alongside you, step by step. But, as you know, my legs are not as long as yours, so I might have to take more and shorter steps to keep up.
.for starters,I agreed with you when you said that pondering the infinite is in both the short run and the long, futile and frustrating. It is the for us- nonexistent, outside the reach of our consciousness and awareness. But if we limit the question to the energy flowing through our experienced reality (reality informed by time and space) I think we become aware of the more subtle energies influencing ou being, without trying to artificially extend our senses. That is, our sensitivity increases in quality and reach along with the expansion of awareness

Second step (I guess this isn't as hard as I thought it would be) - I think our cosciousness taps into the energy (more specifically).through our awareness and attention.. Expanson happenens when ou r attentionis "seated" in the here and now, a state of receptivity, not through any activity of the conditioned body or mind.
