I suspected that once I got back 'into harness' the weight would come off. So far, so good. I am very glad to be back in my regular eating mode. I have come to enjoy my food preparation (even though, for the next few days, I will be doing a little less of it - like one meal a day - than usual). I believe that one of the keys of weight management is eating at home.

Daily Comment
Just getting right from my vacation - which seems like a blur to me now. The vacation was weird for a few reasons - at the halfway point, I got woken up by a phone call with some really, really bad news, then a call with more bad news (this time concerning some plans I had for that day), and then a call with more incredibly sad and bad news. The weather was mostly awful, too, for most of the time (cool and rainy; when do you ever hear about a week in LA when it is cool and rainy?). And, my mobility was not great for the whole time I was out there (see yesterday's comment).

Still, spending time with my son cancelled out everything bad, and with enough left over to have me still regard this as a great vacation. I need some partial amnesia, that's all.

Tonight will be a good playing night, with a jam at the Dinosaur BBQ on tap. That should make me 'right'!
