August 31, 2012: Post 598 (2012 Day 244)

Daily Comment

This won't be much, I think. It is the Friday leading into the Labor Day weekend.

Tonight will be a combination of running around to do chores, and, hopefully, enjoy a little music. The preparation is for a trip to the City for the long weekend.

I am beginning my drive down to the City tomorrow morning.

My first stop is to run some errands; I will spend the rest of the day socializing with my brother and some friends.

Sunday I go out to Long Island for the marriage of some old friends' daughter and the ensuing celebration. I will see friends I haven't seen in more than a decade. Very exciting.

That would be as much of the future as I can predict. Prep, chores, drive, chores, brother, friends, wedding, friends, brother, friends, drive.

One more thing - missing from that list is writing my blog. It will resume on Tuesday, when we will assess the damage.

Diet Comment:
Lunch with my friend Al, so no breakfast, which I wasn't hungry for because I was eating chili at two in the morning. The weight gain was expected, and, in fact, I'm a bit surprised at only going up two-and-a-half pounds. Plus, I will be on a two-and-a-half-day cheat that began tonight. So it goes.

Food Log
Breakfast
Skipped.

Lunch
At Ling-Ling Chinese Buffet:
From the Mongolian Grill: Chicken, pork, bean sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, onions, peppers, mushrooms and kimchee.

Dinner
The cheat begins. Dinner was like a series of dim sum dishes, except just stuff I had around, and I ate it over a period of about four hours. It included pepperoni, chili, Second Nature Wholesome Medley (dark chocolate chunks, roasted and salted peanuts, almonds and cashews, tart red cherries and dried cranberries), and lemonade.

Liquid Intake
Coffee:  22 oz,  Water: 136+ oz.
