Day 39
GOALS
- Goal date: 2/26/11
- Weight goal: 217.8 pounds
- Total Inches goal: 124-1/4
Today's scale weight was 222.6 pounds. Look at the chart now:
At this rate, I will handily exceed my goals. I have lost 6 pounds since Sunday! Of course, that was the day after gaining 3 or 4 pounds on cheat day, and they do come off quickly.
At the doctor's today, my blood pressure was the best measured in years, my cholesterol is way down, triglycerides lower. In fact, only blood sugar is still a problem. My blood sugar metabolism has been a problem for decades now. I am hoping this diet, and, after a while, some follow-on exercise, along with the regimen of supplements I'm taking (I take cinnamon and turmeric pills along with other supplements; cinnamon especially is supposed to have a positive effect on blood sugar metabolics. So is the policosanol I take 6 nights a week as part of my PAGG program).

This is impressive. Is the doctor concerned about your blood sugar?
My doctors have been concerned with my blood sugar for the last 20 years. I'm trying to address the issue with this diet, plus some supplements I take. My doctors feel that overweight is my primary health issue, so keep on telling me to lose the weight and keep it off. That's the main purpose of this diet. Exercise will come later (see my Day 40 post).
