Day 31
GOALS
- Goal date: 2/26/11
- Weight goal: 217.8 pounds
- Total Inches Goals: 124-1/4
With today's weight of 226.4 pounds, I am right back on track. Totally. See the chart:
Today was a challenging day for me, because in the morning I had a fasting blood test - I get those every 4 months - which meant I couldn't prepare breakfast at home. Everybody - me, the doctor, the hematologist, was running late, and I ate at the first place I could find, about 2 hours later than usual. It was a Denny's. This makes it the 2nd time in my life I've been in a Denny's. The offerings at 10am did not include beans or any acceptable vegetables, so breakfast was protein and fat (eggs and sausages). It is scary to think what was probably used to fry the eggs - best I could hope for was that they were fried in the grease from the sausages; anything else they might have used except lard, chicken fat, or real butter (all 3 unlikely in this age of cheap vegetable oil/margerine and trans-fat being equated with saturated fat [they are different, people]).
Then, after lunch, it's off to Albany for an over-night. My plan was to get dinner from a Chipotle. That worked out very well. Chipotle, no matter what you think of chains in general, is the exception. The quality of the ingredients, the selection and the fact that when you ask for a cup for water you can get seltzer really makes it ideal for this food plan I'm on.
Here's the skinny on my food today:

Here's the skinny on my food today:
Breakfast
Beakfast at Denny's: a couple of sausages, 3 scrambled eggs. These were the only things they sold that fit the plan. Possibly my last visit to a Denny's. |
Lunch
That's more like it. Rotisserie chicken slices, lentils, baby spinach and baby romaine, and balsamic vinaigrette. |
Dinner
From Chipotle: Burrito Bol: black beans, marinated grilled beef steak, sauteed onions and peppers, medium-hot fresh tomato salsa, guacamole and lettuce. Really delicious and satisfying. |
