In front of a holiday weekend, I was holding my own, weight-wise. I had a major fail today, involving the remaining dark-chocolate-covered blueberry and acai berry mix from my last cheat day. That is going to reverse my results leading into a weekend that does not look like it will be a positive, food-wise. We'll see how it goes.
I'm travelling after measurement and breakfast tomorrow, which is my cheat day, and will have to see how things go on Sunday. The opportunity to take advantage of those New York City treats may be an irresistible temptation. The only guarantee is that Monday will be a fast day.

I am grateful for so many things. I am especially grateful for my good health - my family is having so many health problems right now - that allows me to do so many other things I am grateful for.

Those chocolate-covered acai berries can be killers! I made the mistake of taking some home with me after Thanksgiving in Connecticut. I guess this is a reason I don't schedule cheat days. I know cheating or binging will happen, but try to keep it to a minimum. So much of this weight-control stuff revolves around how we deal with these seemingly little problems, and for each of us it has to be worked out in our own way.
Hi- hope the weekend went well. let me know how Andy is. Love you
Hi, Dan!
The typical advice - and advice I find to be worth heeding - is simple: If it isn't part of your normal eating plan, don't bring it in your house. The standard advice for successful use of cheat days is to eat out - or, anything you bring home to cheat that you don't finish on cheat day, throw it away. It was failing this last that led me down the road I didn't want to travel...
Thanks for paying attention,
Ken
