Daily Comment
How alienated am I?

Pretty alienated, if you're talking about my relationship to "the mainstream" of society. Whatever that is.

I am willing to go with whatever that means to you, because I know, whatever it means, I am outside of it.

In conversation with "normal" people, no matter what the subject, I typically have to refrain from expressing my views, because they are so often antagonistic to theirs. Often, I only give my view when it is rooted in some commonality - and only expand on that when directly questioned.

I don't trust people to understand my thinking. I do trust people to misunderstand or, minimally, to misinterpret my ideas. Even when I don't think they're especially outrageous, or even particular at odds with their ideas, people's perceptual filter (including mine) tends to ignore what does not confirm their beliefs.

So, I keep my counsel unless asked. Which bit of tact is sometimes painful for me.

Hence, a bit of alienation.

The more conventional the situation, the greater that feeling of other-ness. The recent wedding I went to was a perfect example, and a somewhat depressing reminder that there are times when it is very difficult to see the essential oneness of everyone.

On the other hand, I try never to have this feeling turn into aloofness, or any sense of superiority. That isn't how I roll these days. I'm fully aware that no matter how dearly I hold my beliefs, the opposite is also true.

I can be right without someone else being wrong. I don't see life as a zero-sum game.

Diet Comment
A cheat, a late night snack, and weight loss is dramatically less. Today's skipped breakfast is thanks to my midnight snack leaving me satisfied until lunchtime. And another late, late dinner.

Food Log
Breakfast
Skipped.

Lunch
Cocoa-kale protein shake (almond milk, whey protein (36g protein), kale, chia seeds, a large egg, cocoa, cinnamon, stevia-erithrytol blend).

Dinner
Baby carrots, hard-boiled eggs and home-made mayonnaise.

Liquid Intake
    Coffee:  30 oz,  Water: 88+ oz.

I am not as put off as you by written communication. But you know that already. I, at some point, wanted to join the mainstream but never found it. I think everyone is wierd. It is very interesting that I found my way via my circuitis route to exactly the diet I rejected when you started it. Seems okay to me now. Love you
