Daily Comment
I usually eat out twice a week, the rest of the time, I'm cooking for myself.

I have lunch every week with my friend Al, who works close by. We eat at a Chinese buffet where I can get food consistent with my eating plan (see today for instance). I always get the same thing, so I've stopped taking pictures, and I use the one I already have.

The other day I eat out is cheat day, because, for the most part, I don't want to bring cheat foods home.

Among the principles that I have carried forward from my initial weight loss diet, the Slow Carb Diet described in Tim Ferris' 'The 4-Hour Body' is that a great variety of food in your diet is to be avoided (except on cheat day, another carry-over).

So my lunch meal is always the same, and my at-home meals tend to also be repititious.

I couldn't be more surprised that I find this very agreeable.

The only problems, and not much, as problems go, is that I have tons of kitchenware (from my days of cooking for family and fun), and my cooking isn't very challenging/interesting (some of my best and favorite recipes are not eating-plan-friendly, or practical for just one person), so not as much fun.

But, then again, the joy of cooking is over-rated; or, at least, it can be easily compensated for.
