Good news: Movement in the right direction, and my all-time lowest weight on a Monday. Of course, I'm not the one to look at things as glass half-empty, because if I was, I would see that I am 7+ pounds over where I wanted to be on this day. and that I haven't reached goal weight in over a month. But that isn't me.

I had a conversation with my sister over the weekend. She is, and has always been, very supportive, and doesn't like me 'beating myself up' over not losing weight - she wants me to just enjoy the weight I've lost. She is right, of course, and I am proud of losing so much weight. She says the trick is to maintain my loss - if that's all I did going forward, it would be great. Again, she's right, but... I do have more weight to lose; I have not achieved my goals, expressed not so much as weight loss but as a matter of health and appearance. The two most blunt tools you can use, weight and inches, are all I have available, so I need to see if I am progressing towards my goals; keeping the end in mind, as it were.

I was going to start kettle-bell workouts (well, really just one exercise: Russian swings) today, but I had an exhausting day yesterday (fun, but tiring - I ended up playing almost 2-1/2 hours straight until 11pm) and really couldn't pull it together this morning.

Looks good. If you just keep it up, it will work. Maybe a little slower than you would like, but it will. Love you, Joan
