Some weight comes off; after a fast day, I expect a little bump - but maybe with the good eating I did today, more will come off tomorrow.

Daily Comment
I am not anti-Christian; I am, however, pretty much anti-Church, which currently and historically, does not seem to be a force advocating for real Christian values. I don't think much of the Christian dogmas, and the whole "dead God on a stick" symbology doesn't work for me. Everybody is free to believe whatever works for them, until those beliefs are used to justify evil actions. We're talking a prejudice against an institution, not discrimination against any individual - at least, not on the basis of their beliefs.

I do appreciate the beautiful art that these beliefs inspire, but have to point out that every belief system inspires beautiful art, as far as I can tell.

I don't think of myself as intolerant. But it also has to be okay for me not to participate in Christian rituals and customs, if I so choose.

Is this about Christmas? I have trouble with any institutionalized religion but I have to admit, I like traditions and think they serve some purpose.
