I should point out that I had a kind of major diet fail - I was offered a petits-four, and, out of politeness accepted, whereupon my kind coworker gave me the entire plate and was gone before I 'got' it. Ahhh, Christmas-time in the Golden Snowball!
Daily Comment
I don't know how I feel about yesterday's comment. Maybe it was offensive, and I'm not sure I made the point I was I am just not feeling the Christmas spirit this year. In the past, I have tried to embrace the holidays as a go-along, get-along kind of thing - but the lack of feeling anything but stress at the consumerism of the holiday, and the buffeting I'm taking at the hands of retail advertisers - is really preventing me from seeing anything attractive about the season.I like that my band's gig this Saturday is a benefit for the Food Bank. My bandmates have been very generous. That's the Christmas spirit.
