Daily Comment
Thailand. Specifically, Chiang Mai, is another idea for retirement. I think it would be very interesting to live in a different culture, where Buddhism is the dominant belief system, and everything needed for an amenable lifestyle is available cheaply - more cheaply than anywhere in the Western hemisphere. This could enable me (again) to visit more of my friends and family in the US than, possibly, anywhere else I could live - except Mexico.

Of all the places on my current 'short list' of retirement possibilities (currently Ecuador, Panama, Columbia, Mexico, Spain, France and Italy, and Thailand- I know, a long list. I have 3 years to whittle it down), none are more US-accessible than Mexico. Still, Chiang Mai has moved up the list.

I don't know-when I think thailand, I think sexual deviance. Just my association. Meanwhile, you are doing great- keep it up. Love you

You aren't wrong about that aspect of Thailand, there are a lot of old retired white guys there for that reason, BUT that isn't all there is to the place, not by a long shot. Do I need to say that it has NOTHING at all to do with why I find it an attractive retirement destination?

Thanks for forwarding that article about low-carb diets, weight loss and cancer - it is nice to have confirmation on ideas you hold.

Love you, Ken
