January 5, 2012: Post 5, Day 5

Today's Weight:        200.0 lbs 
Yesterday's Weight:    203.4 lbs
Net Loss/Gain:        -  3.4 lbs
As I said yesterday, you could go crazy with daily fluctuations in weight.

Daily Comment
I read this today in a good article called 12 Tricks Your Brain Is Playing On You : 
"Living a successful life is pretty simple. You create a vision for the future, formulate a strategy and then work hard to achieve it. There are no shortcuts or secrets to this formula. Accepting this will get you much further down the path to happiness than anything else."  
And that is what I've been doing, last year with my weight loss and musical activity, this year with my retirement/expatriate planning and musical activity. It does seem to work for me.


Food Log


Breakfast
Chocolate egg cream protein shake: Vanilla whey protein powder (w/36g of whey protein) plus cocoa, an egg, almond milk, an extra 5g of BCAAs, cinnamon and stevia-inulin blend.

Lunch
Sorry, no pics:  I had lunch with Al at the Ruby Tuesday's at Carousel Center. I had a couple of tiny turkey breast thingies and two trips to the salad bar (spinach, mesculin mix, peas, lima beans, broccoli, green pepper, cucumbers on both; hard-boiled egg and blue cheese dressing the first time, bacon and ranch dressing on the second).

Dinner
Wild-caught salmon burgers on a bed of red cabbage with balsamic vinagrette, broccoli and Dal Tadka (lentil curry).
Snack
2 scrambled eggs with Chipotle Tabasco sauce.

Liquid Intake
    Coffee:   30 oz,   Water: 144+ oz.

I really don't know why it is progressing cos my numbers are always ok. Except when I am eating off plan, I eat very well. I think it is genetic. I see the cardiologist on monday. will know more tuesday.
