January 3, 2012: Post 3, Day 3

Today's Weight:        201.4 lbs 
Yesterday's Weight:    199.8 lbs
Net Loss/Gain:        +  1.6 lbs
Typical eating-after-fasting-bump in weight today. Today will be another 'regular' (as in 3 meals) eating day. Tomorrow's another 24-hour fast day (I only eat dinner). So it goes.

Daily Comment
First work day of the year, and I have two thoughts about that: 1st, I don't like work. I'm grateful to have it, and this is far, far, far from the worst job I've ever had, but I don't like it; 2nd,  I have "only" 1152 days of work to go... 

With that 2nd thing in mind, today, I am wondering how it would be to retire to Medellin, Colombia. It sounds appealing, like Cuenca, but maybe better: Cleaner, better infrastructure, better amenities and more cosmopolitan (although in the area of medical care, Ecuador, where expat retirees are covered by the government medical care system (no deductible or copay for anything, and a really, really low contribution ($60/month) - is really hard to beat).


Food Log


Breakfast
Red beans, spinach and eggs with chipotle sauce.
Lunch
Smoked turkey, black beans, cabbage, carrots and Spring Mix greens wtih Balsamic vinaigrette.
Dinner
Chicken sausage with whole-grain Dijon mustard and cauliflower with Dal Tadka (lentil curry).  Not shown: Baby carrots with home-made mayonnaise.
Liquid Intake
    Coffee:   30 oz,   Water: 128+ oz.
