From a 'diet' or 'weight' point of view, the first week was very successful.
Daily Commentary
It is interesting how deciding to expatriate in a little over 3 years has changed my thinking, especially on shopping decisions. Anything I buy now has to stand up to new criteria, a simple test: Is this something that I'm going to consume completely or end up being thrown or given away before I can leave?

Food always passes the test, clothing, too, but almost nothing else. My credit card bill (I put almost everything on a card and pay it off in full every month) for December was $300 lower than average month for the previous year.



Food Log
Breakfast
I slept in, and didn't eat until long past breakfast- or even brunch-time. So breakfast for lunch.

Lunch

Ezekiel Golden Flax Sprouted Grain cereal with blueberries, almond milk and stevia-inulin; scrambled eggs and bacon with chipotle sauce.
Dinner
At Juanita's: 'Swiss' empanada with lettuce, refried beans and rice; chips and salsa.

After-dinner Eating
At my friend Al's for some poker, football and food: pizza, sausage, home-made pemmican, chips, dip, salsa, brownies, trail mix and something called Wonka Scrumpdidliuscious. Yes, a lot of food, probably more than the rest of the day.



Liquid Intake
    Coffee:  30 oz,   Water:  84+ oz.
