Yesterday was ordinary - well, maybe a little more food than usual. I'm still recovering from cheat day.Daily Comment:
My sister emailed an amazing link to me today. I've been thinking about it and working with it all day.
Apparently, the US Census Bureau has scanned every page of the 1940 census, and put the whole thing online. It is searchable by location (unfortunately, not address: Census area). A cousin of mine found the entry for his mother (my Aunt Harriet), my father and my Grandma Betty, as well as Great-Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins, last seen more than 50 years ago, all living at the same Brooklyn address in 1940.
Seeing the 72-year old hand-written entries gave me chills. Questions came to mind immediately.
I could guess at some answers, but for some, I don't even know where to begin looking.
I can live with mysteries, knowing that somewhere, sometime, some way, answers will come. That is a matter of faith with me. All things knowable are known.
