Diet Comment:
Again, no real weight change. This has been an unusual week in that my weight has been fairly steady, with only about a 1/2-pound difference between the high and low weights Monday-Thursday, and a 1-1/2 pound high-to-low diff between my post-cheat weight and yesterday's low weight.
Today's 23-hour fast will probably send the weight down a little.
It's all good.
Daily Comment:
This change started happening on the one-year anniversary of the blog when I changed it's name from Reverend Ken's Weight Loss Blog.
Last week, I eliminated a few of the measurement charts. Next, I will probably go to one weight-tracking chart. I still think it is important, as a former fat person, to track this, and to keep tracking my food choices, because like reformed-anything, the danger of relapse is real, and also because this helps keep my attention focused on my food choices. And because I kind of like the food diary aspect of it all.
But I would like my daily comments to be more about my experiences and thoughts. Not, I think, about my history, unless something current makes that relevant.
I might as well start right now by reflecting on a Skype session I had with my son. All good news, and I come away from these so happy! I do so dig Skype, if for nothing else than the way it facilitates me talking with Alex. I wish all my friends had it and they all were on it.
And one more thing, while I'm thinking about it:
In a few days, I'm eligible for a phone upgrade. My first inclination is to get the current iPhone. My son (who works for Apple) thinks I should wait for the next iPhone, which will be 4G compatible (probably). I don't know. I'm less than thrilled with my Motorola Droid 2.
One of the main reasons I want an iPhone is the 2-lens feature that makes FaceTime possible. But I have heard of some problems with FaceTime. At least once, when I used it between my Macbook and my son's iPhone, it has frozen, and I have heard of other problems using it iPhone-to-iPhone.
A few people have told me Google Talk (which is available on all platforms and isn't dependent on WiFi - a thing that makes it unusable where I work) is better.
I don't know about that.
I have some time to decide what is right for me. Of course, I can have Google Talk on an iPhone, and have the best of all worlds...
And I like the iPhone, even though it is 'way overpriced.
Something (else) to think about.
