My scale is crazy. I refuse to let it make me crazy, though. Only got about 5 hours sleep after a very long day yesterday, and although at this writing my day really isn't over yet, since I'm performing with my band tonight, it is going to be a very late night. My ass is seriously dragging, even though there's so much less of it to drag.
Only lack of sleep can account for these weird results. I have been 100% on-plan and super-hydrating (by which I mean, I am drinking 40% more than the recommended level of 1 ounce for every 2 pounds of body weight).
I didn't exercise yesterday, but exercise really isn't part of the plan. I didn't exercise today, either, because, well, I'm tired and I had a long way to go today.
Normally, I have plenty of energy. But I don't respond well to big changes in my habits (like yesterday's 4:30am wakeup time). It takes longer to recover, too, and that's when I am taking the proper steps to recover (like getting extra, or at least a normal amount, of sleep time after missing some hours of zzz's).
I was very edgy today. Partly due to tiredness, partly due to the threat of government shutdown. I work for the VA, but I'm paid by the Office of Information and Technology. The former is exempt from all the shutdown noise, but the latter isn't. Not knowing if I was going to have a payday next week was nerve-wracking.
And, of course, someone brought in a few boxes of donuts to ease the pain. Very tempting.
I was good. I will be okay, I'm sure.
Tonight I do a show with my band 'i am FOOL' and that will make it all all right.

Here are the pics and descriptions of today's food:

No new lunch pic, because lunch was exactly the same, too: Spring Mix greens topped with black beans, turkey off-the-bone, and balsamic vinaigrette. |
