Today, a few new things:

First, from a weight loss standpoint, this is looking like it will be the worst week since I started. More on that below. Next, I have been reminded that this diet has a name: 'The Slow Carb Diet'. OK. Finally, I have discovered a facebook page for people following the Slow Carb Diet. maybe some from that page will visit? If so, please leave a comment.

For the first time since I started, I will finish this week at a higher weight than I last week. In the previous 12 weeks, this has never happened. I continued my streak of eating 100% on-plan, but fell victim to some late night high volume/calorie consumption... and also, too little sleep.

This is my first plateau. Because I have adhered to the plan so meticulously, I've never been stuck for more than a few days.

I think I am very close to 100% compliant, with the non-compliance coming in the form of skipping meals - you aren't supposed to skip meals But as far as off-plan eating? None. No 'disallowed' food has been eaten for over 12 weeks. I've been rewarded by some pretty impressive weight- and inches-lost results.

Nonetheless, at this point, I am going to reset. Call this a 13-week first pass, and start another 13-week period.

While this means nothing as far as my blog is concerned, my personal spreadsheet will change.

The geek in me is applauding. The musician, not so much.

Here's today's chart:

... and today's food:

 Breakfast
Spinach omelette (made with butter, spinach, 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg) and refried lentils (with coconut oil and salsa).

Lunch
Roast turkey, mixed greens, lentils and balsamic vinaigrette.

Dinner

Chili (made with grass-fed beef, navy beans, lentils, mushrooms, tomatoes, tomato paste, and spices) over broccoli and cauliflower, and a side of guacamole.

Midnight Snack
Oops - I did it again. This time, I had a shot of Jameson's (it was a friend's birthday - come on!) and a complete breakfast at about 2 am in the morning. Eggs and beans. I will still be 'wearing' this when I do my measurements tomorrow morning at around 8am.

As always, please leave a comment if you read this blog post.
