Well, this is certainly ugly (talking about the chart now trending above the goal line). I've seen this before, but didn't think I'd see it this morning! Once again, lack of sleep would seem to be the main culprit. And once again, we seem to disprove the theory that your caloric intake determines whether or not you gain or lose weight. It is so much more complicated than that.

Yesterday was a low-calorie day. By weight and by volume most of my food was vegetables and beans. Yet today my weight is up. I would let it go at, "Go figure!" except that it doesn't really compute. Something other than the calorie count is at work here.

I expect regular weight loss to resume with today's strict adherance to the Slow Carb Protocol, along with copious hydration and short bouts of high-intensity exercise (three 90-second sessions). I find myself relatively unconcerned, though. I continue to shape up, and if I have a concern, it is with my waist measurement, which has been stuck for a few weeks. Weeks, I can be concerened with. Days, not so much.

With the warmer weather, I hope to become more active. That can't hurt. We'll see what unfolds, I guess.

Breakfast  
Do you recognize this? Spinach, black beans 3 egg whites, 1 whole egg, macadamia nut oil and salsa.

Lunch
Turkey with black beans, a green vinaigrette on Spring Mix greens.


Dinner

Chili (grass-fed ground beef, black beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, cabbage, and chili spices) over broccoli.
