Up 1.8 pounds. I don't know why - the only difference between yesterday and today is that there was more chicken yesterday than there was ham today, and guacamole. Well, today was just like yesterday, but without the guacamole. Could guacamole be a problem? Mine is really nothing but avocados and spices, and avocados are supposedly a nutrient-dense superfood. High calorie, though.

As always, we'll see. If I experience a sharp weight-loss after not eating any guacamole today, I may have to re-think avocados, maybe leave it to cheat day.

Weight-Loss on the Slow-Carb Diet

Daily Weight vs Goal
The reason this chart looks so much better than yesterday's is that I removed the data from the last day of last month's chart. So now, my trendline looks awesome - but with only 4 day's data, it is hardly meaningful, and still, today, above the goal line and heading in the wrong direction.

Today's Food

Breakfast
For breakfast, I had a protein shake with about 24g protein, and:
Salsa on top of spinach and kidney beans with 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg, scrambled in coconut oil.

Lunch
Smoked turkey off the bone with kidney beans over spinach and romaine with a vinaigrette dressing.

Dinner
On the left, one bean and beef burger (grass-fed beef, black beans, Great Northern beans, spices) floating in Dal Tadka (Lentil curry). On the right, broccoli with cottage cheese and herbs.

Today's Liquid
28 oz. of black coffee and 210+ oz. of water.

As always, please leave a comment if you read this blog post.

I don't think one day's eating gives you enough data. You have been eating avocado all along. You are doing great! keep it up.
love you, Joan

It is actually more than one day's data - it is something I have noticed in the past. I just experimented this one day to see if that single variable would make a difference - that is the one day part.

Note: I would never consider actually dropping avocado completely out of the diet. By relegating it to my Free Day, though, I get to enjoy it with tortilla chips! Mmmm....

Anyway, I'm going to avoid avocado today and tomorrow, and see what happens.

Love you too,
Ken
