So much for dramatic weight drops! And my bold statement that this week would be easier than last (made last Sunday). What happened? I think the answer is simple: late-night eating. I had a lot of water, and everything I ate was on-plan, but I ended the day with a hard-boiled egg, about 3 ounces of smoked ham, with some pesto mayonnaise and mustard for condiments. That didn't add too many calories, but it was eaten right before bedtime. Hmmmmmm. Note to self: Don't do that.

I'm also a little suspicious of the Steak Burrito Bowl from Chipotle. Because this was the very first time in the 10+ weeks of this diet that I have had any food cravings, I wonder if the marinade of the steak contained sugar. This is the only thing I can think of that was new to me to cause the hunger and late-night craving.

And there is one more possibility: Yesterday's weight was just plain wrong. I don't know how that would happen, and it didn't feel wrong, but the bounce over the last 48 hours is suspicious.

After dinner I did some cooking: lentils, mayonnaise and cole slaw. I had to taste a tiny bit of each, of course. But I couldn't resist a couple of forkfuls of the cole slaw.

Here's what I ate today:
Breakfast  
Black bean fritta in coconut oil with spinach, 2 egg whites, 1 egg, topped with salsa (did I mention black beans?).  Yes, eagle eyes, it is the exact same as yesterday, so no new pic.

Lunch
Tuna salad made with my home-made pesto mayonnaise and black beans over Spring Mix greens.

Dinner
Chili (grass-fed beef, black beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, spices) over mixed vegetables.  Not pictured: A couple of lentils, a taste of mayonnaise, and a couple of forkfuls of homemade cole slaw.

Hi skinny. I think weight fluctuates day to day so don't sweat it. You are doing great. Thanks for the cole slaw recipe.
