I'm at essentially the same weight I was yesterday. Good.
I woke up not hungry, and didn't get hungry until lunchtime, so breakfast was skipped. I had a big lunch, though. Then, after a good snack, I wasn't that hungry for dinner... But then, it was like the hunger flood-gates opened.
I had dinner, and included cheese. This seems to have lead to cravings... I then had, in quick succession, a Reese's cup, a snack-pack of Oreos, and, finally (and it was late at night by now), cheese, carrots and home-made mayonnaise! Out of control.
Lessons learned: 1) Cheese is not my friend. 2) Don't have 'forbidden' food around.
Daily Comment:
The good has to do with its impact on my sense of well-being. It is a positive, and effects my attitude and ability to cope with any of life's negatives, like illness and bad weather. I know playing floods me with positive endorphins. I'm pretty sure this helps lower my cortisol-levels, a good thing when you're attempting to keep your weight down.
The bad has to do with the hours I keep to get my playing time in. Too often the time I get to play is late at night - later than would be prudent for getting 7 hours sleep on a workday. And getting enough sleep has been tied to getting to/maintaining a good weight.
So, a wash, from where I sit. But, psychologically, I'd rather be fat and playing music than skinny and not playing. Right now? The best of both.
