September 7, 2011: Day 101 after Slow-Carb, Post 249

Today's Weight:        204.4 lbs
Yesterday's Weight:    204.6 lbs
Net Loss/Gain:         - 0.2 lbs
Daily weight since 5/30/2011.
I wonder why I didn't lose more weight yesterday? Could it be the pepperoni or the supermarket balsamic dressing (or both, since that was a combination)?


OK - I'm over that. 

And still wondering about losing the last 15 pounds or so to finish this job. I've gotten within 10 pounds, only to bounce back up in weight. For 3 months, I've been in a 7.5 pound range - as low as 198 (a little lower) and as high as 205 (a little higher).


Is this it? Am I in the sweet spot, have I reached my final destination? 


I don't think so. 


When I fully return to SCD, I am going to try a few things - exercising more portion control, for one, and protein shakes for breakfast for another.


We'll see how that goes.


I have to say, while the calories-in/calories-out theory of weight loss is incomplete and harmful, there may be a place in it. 


Or - maybe I've just reached the limit of what I can lose without adding regular exercise into the equation.

Food Log


Breakfast
Eggs with spinach, mozzarella cheese, salsa and bacon.
Lunch
Tuna salad (with celery, homemade mayonnaise) on a salad of red cabbage, baby spinach, romaine lettuce and celery.
Snack
Chocolate 'pudding' made with 24g of whey protein (vanilla whey powder), vanilla extract, cocoa, Greek yogurt, stevia-erythritol blend. Then some cottage cheese with celery. 


Dinner 
Pepperoni (not shown) and a salad of red cabbage, Spring Mix greens and carrots, with balsamic vinaigrette and grated parmesan cheese.

Liquid Intake
    Coffee:  32 oz,   Water: 96+ oz.

I think that if you maintain this weight loss- by whatever means- you have beat the odds
